The new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein have given the public a disturbing glimpse into the pedophile’s inner circle of friends. It seems the New York financier was in contact with many high profile figures across the globe, including Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
Turns out the British royal family aren’t the only royals to be caught up in the Epstein scandal as Norway comes to terms with the fact that the wife of King Harald V’s only son, Princess Mette-Marit, had a very close and friendly relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Mette-Marit is currently dealing with the fact her stepson could be sent to jail for ten years after serious allegations were made against him. Unfortunately her year is only getting worse due to her links to Epstein.
Her friendship with him was well known prior to the latest batch of documents. From 2011 through to 2013, the princess was in close contact with the sex trafficker but of course, there is nothing to confirm she was aware of his operation. Upon Epstein’s arrest and subsequent death, Mette-Marit released a statement expressing sympathy towards his victims. She likely thought that was the end of it, but the newly released emails have stirred up the controversy once again.
What did Princess Mette-Marit’s emails to Jeffrey Epstein say?
The Crown Princess’ name was reportedly mentioned several hundred times according to an article from the BBC. It was revealed that she had actually stayed at Epstein’s Palm Beach house in Miami for four nights in early 2013. Another document shows an email exchange between the two from late 2012 in which Jeffrey brings up the topic of “wife hunting.”
He mentions being in Paris but says, “I prefer Scandinavians.” Mette-Marit expresses her shock at the fact he’s searching for a wife before drawing attention to Epstein’s spelling mistakes, suggesting he’s drunk. She then asks him to call her tomorrow.
In another email exchange the Crown Princess tells Epstein, “you tickle my brain” and asks him, “what do you have to do besides seeing me?”
The response to the emails
The NYPost labeled the messages “flirty,” and “fawning,” and it seems many online are inclined to agree. On X one person called for the Norwegian monarchy “to address this transparency and clarify her level of involvement.” Another called for her and her husband to “step down.”
In response to the new emails, the palace reiterated the fact that the Crown Princess had already released a statement addressing the situation and admitting that she had shown “poor judgement and regret… it is simply embarrassing.” However, for those who want to see justice served for Epstein and his alleged cohorts crimes, her statement will hardly suffice.
