A Delta cabin argument has been circulating on TikTok after TravelTMZ, posting as @traveltmz, shared a clip that has drawn 229,300 views. The caption asked viewers, “Be honest… are you speaking up or minding your business?” On-screen text claimed, “You watch a flight attendant drop food on the FLOOR & serve it anyway… somehow the police get called on YOU”.
In the clip, a passenger with short brown hair and earbuds films himself selfie-style in the cabin. He starts speaking to someone off camera and says, “That is on Delta. It’s on your-“. A female flight attendant then appears in the aisle behind him. She has blonde hair and glasses, and she is wearing a gray uniform and black gloves.
The passenger asks, “Why are you antagonizing me?” The flight attendant begins to answer, “I’m not antagonizing-“, before he cuts in and repeats, “Why are you antagonizing me? You keep- I don’t need to talk with you anymore.” He then tells her, “I don’t need to talk with you anymore. Please go away. Thank you.” She walks away down the aisle.
A follow-up clip shows a crew member with a violation card
After she leaves, he holds up a black glove and says, “And she dropped the glove on me. Lady is very unprofessional.” He holds it up again and adds, “Okay, drop your glove on me and walk away.” The clip itself does not show any food hitting the floor or being served afterward, so that part of the on-screen text remains an allegation rather than something the footage demonstrates.
A second TikTok video, captioned “#part2”, later went viral and gained 1 million views. In that clip, the passenger appears seated and films a male flight attendant standing in the aisle. The crew member is an older man with gray hair and glasses, wearing a gray vest and a red tie. He is holding a document with the title “VIOLATION” visible on it.
According to Live and Let’s Fly, it is a Delta Notice of Violation. The site said it is essentially an onboard warning used when a crew believes a passenger’s conduct has crossed into disruptive behavior or could violate federal regulations. The article also said the card does not show who started the confrontation, and it does not show whether the passenger’s complaint was legitimate. It does indicate that the crew believed his behavior was serious enough to document.
The same write-up said that serving food after it fell on an aircraft floor would be unacceptable if the passenger’s version is accurate. It also said that aggressive, abusive, or interfering conduct while challenging the crew would be a separate issue, and that both things could theoretically be true.
The flight attendant then tells him, “That’s all I have to say. You got to read the card.” The passenger replies that he is not sure what he did, then says he guesses the crew member is handing him that letter. He then asks whether the attendant is aware that “your flight attendant spit on me and assaulted me as well.”
The crew member answers, “That’s on the story I received. That’s why they took me to flight.” The passenger says that is where they will take it to court, and that a court can look at his claims that a crew member spit on him, assaulted him, and threw her glove at him. The flight attendant responds, “How did I get her glove? I would not know that.”
The passenger says the attendant does not know the full story and that is why he is telling him. The clip ends as the passenger says he will talk with them. For Delta, the passenger complaints don’t stop at alleged mistreatment by crew, as one woman says she was asked to cover up on a flight to New York.
Viewers on the TravelTMZ post split over who was at fault. Several commenters sided with the crew and treated the passenger’s tone as the problem. One wrote, “You will never I repeat never win an argument with any airline crew.” Another warned, “Always treat the flight attendant with respect. You will get arrested.”
A third commenter focused on the moment he told the attendant to leave. They wrote, “Telling a flight attendant to “go away” in the middle of the flight. Escalation at 30,000 ft in the air. Recording a FA is a federal violation. There are MANY reasons the police were called on you.”
Another said, “You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat people in the service industry.” A commenter who identified as a flight attendant wrote, “As a flight attendant i can tell he is the problem”. Cabin crew often bear the brunt of passenger frustration, as in the case of a flight attendant who shares the day that broke her spirit on TikTok after being screamed at by passengers.
Not every viewer agreed. One commenter said the attendant should lose her job, writing, “she need to be fired its disgusting”. Another blamed the staff more broadly and wrote, “Wow! staff on airplanes now being arrogant and woke”.
