California mother accused 62yo of stalking her 16yo daughter. Then he turns up at the gun store when she is buying a firearm

The man happened to appear at the same store at the same time as the mother.

A woman in California got a restraining order against a man by the name of John Mann after she accused him of stalking and filming her 16-year-old daughter. A confrontation at a gun store between the mother and the man has quickly gone viral on TikTok and Instagram.

The clip, which was reposted by TikToker, “@etchaskej,” shows two men and a woman. The group is being recorded by another woman. The one recording can be heard saying, “This is the f—er that has been stalking my child!” The older man is seen holding up a piece of paper, he asks staff what he should do and is told to stand outside the store. The man then says, “the police said I have to turn in my weapon right now.”

Without context it’s difficult to understand exactly what is going on in the video. Thankfully etchaskej, who also goes by Ed, offers an explanation. He claims that the man in the video is John Mann, a 62-year-old “who got caught following around a 16-year-old and filming her.” The other man in the video is John’s son, Nate, who apparently defended his father and explained that John had been filming the young girl because he wanted Nate, who is 31, to ask her out. All of this was shown in a screenshot shared by Ed.

According to Ed, The stalking got so bad that the mother of the daughter felt the need to purchase a firearm in order to protect herself. While at the gun store Nate, John, and John’s wife just happened to show up at the same time for the father to surrender his weapons.

The timing of the encounter seems awfully coincidental

Either the mother of the 16-year-old is completely right about the stalking or John and his family are incredibly unlucky with their timing, you decide which is true. However, it does seem like a rather unbelievable coincidence that the man should show up at the same time as the mother who allegedly has a restraining order against him. What’s worse is that he obviously has weapons with him if he’s there to surrender his weapons.

Thankfully the staff in the store believed the woman and asked the family to leave. According to Ed they also escorted her out afterwards.

Ed also shows images supposedly from other people who have caught this creepy behavior from John. He tells the 62-year-old to “stop sitting in your driveway in a fold up chair, creepily taking pictures of everyone walking by.” The TikToker claims that the man’s neighbors have reached out to him to tell him about Mann’s disturbing behavior suggesting this is a pattern.
