In an effort to celebrate the beloved purple character, the food chain is rolling out the purple carpet in time to celebrate Grimace’s birthday!
Over the weekend, the ever-popular brand announced it would be launching a special meal to help celebrate Grimace’s birthday. In turn, a wave of childhood nostalgia immediately swept over kids of the ‘90s. McDonald’s is set to roll out the meal starting today, June 12, but just as a heads-up — the aforementioned meal will only be available for a limited time.
What comes with Grimace’s Birthday Meal?
It surely wouldn’t be a classic McDonald’s meal without the option of a delicious milkshake. And luckily for shake lovers, the Grimace Birthday Meal includes a purple-colored milkshake inspired by McDonald’s “fuzzy purple bestie.” Made with soft serve vanilla ice cream, the shake also features a satisfying berry flavor that echoes Grimace’s “sweetness.”
Along with the purple shake, the meal is presented with two main course options of either chicken nuggets or McDonald’s iconic Big Mac sandwich. And of course, either option packs along a serving of the brand’s heavenly fries.
How else is McDonald’s celebrating?
To keep the celebration rolling, McDonald’s is additionally releasing a Grimace video game, where the purple character meets up with friends for his birthday. The game is available to download today, along with a strong lineup of Grimace-inspired merch that also launches today.
