A woman who goes by Emma on TikTok, with the handle @emma.carter.x, said in a video that she found out her boyfriend was allegedly cheating on her after another woman sent her photos of the two of them on a date. Emma said she also found her boyfriend on a dating app around the same time.
According to the video, Emma and her brother went to a Target store shortly after, apparently within four hours of learning about the alleged date. She said she planned to buy the same outfit the other woman was wearing in the photos.
“So I’m at Target and I’m gonna buy this exact same outfit,” Emma said in the video. Her brother, who appears alongside her throughout the clip, added, “The outfit is from Target and everything’s gonna be identical.”
Woman says she plans to wear the same outfit her boyfriend ‘just saw’ hours earlier
Emma said in the video that she wanted to recreate the look worn by the woman in the photos as closely as possible. “So I’m gonna wear the exact same outfit that he just saw like 4 hours ago,” she said.
As she and her brother walked through the clothing section, Emma pointed to a brown top and said, “Okay, wait, it was this.” Her brother appeared to correct her, holding up a black top instead, and said, “It was like this. No, it was this.” Emma then agreed, saying, “Oh my God, yeah, it was black.”
The pair then moved to look for shorts. Emma gestured toward a pair of denim shorts and said the other woman “was just wearing like jeans shorts, like maybe, I don’t know, like that.” She said they picked up a pair, though she noted her size was not available. “We’re just gonna grab these, they don’t have my size,” she said, adding that she still needed a purse and shoes.
In the shoe section, Emma appeared unsure at first about what she was looking for, saying, “Okay, um, I don’t know what is going on here.” She then said she spotted a pair of black cowboy boots on a top shelf that seemingly matched what she had seen in the photos. “Oh my God, they were literally these,” she said. “They went to f—ing like cowboy restaurant.”
The video also shows what appears to be a dating app profile for a person identified only as “Ethan,” listed as 20 years old and 6 feet 1 inch tall, with stated preferences including “blonde and fit.”. As the two headed toward the fitting rooms, Emma said, “Hey, I’m gonna go try it on,” before appearing to change her mind, adding, “actually, I don’t need to try it on.” She then explained her reasoning for buying the outfit, saying, “Hopefully he likes it, and I hope that he recognizes it because I’m literally so f—ing angry.”
Throughout the video, Emma’s brother is shown helping carry the items, including the top, shorts, boots, and two boxes of macaroni and cheese, toward the checkout area.
The video has drawn a large number of comments, with some users appearing to praise Emma’s brother for accompanying her. One commenter wrote, “Your brother helping you is awesome.” Another user similarly commented, “your brother is awesome.” Similar confrontations have played out elsewhere, like a Tennessee woman who spoke to gym management after spotting her boyfriend in another woman’s thirst trap.
Other commenters appeared skeptical of the situation. A user named vendetta commented, “ngl, i think its all drama.” Another user replied, “ur not looking at the right response mate.” Some commenters also referenced the dating app profile shown in the video. A user asked, “How did you find him on a dating app,” to which a user replied, “on cheater buster like it shows on the screen.”
Other users offered opinions on how Emma should have handled the situation. A user commented, “Why would u waste your money? Just say it and walk away.” Another commenter wrote, “That’s iconic.” Similar claims about cheating and checking vehicles often lead to confrontations.
