Elon Musk wants Don Lemon to bring his show to Twitter just like Tucker Carlson

Is this a social media platform or a refuge for fired news anchors?

While he claims that there was no deal struck between Twitter and Tucker Carlson for bringing the news anchor’s show to the platform, Elon Musk is certainly doing his best to capitalize on the move. Musk is going out of his way to try and drum up some new business for Twitter by prodding Don Lemon to start his own show on the platform.

The Twitter and Tesla boss, being the night owl he is, replied to Lemon’s tweet from April 25 confirming his dismissal from CNN, suggesting that perhaps he should bring his show to Twitter, saying the platform has a bigger audience.

Whether Musk is being tongue in cheek or not, (can you ever really tell?) the suggestion comes hot off the heels of his tweet outlining his stance on Carlson arriving on the platform, reiterating that Twitter encourages debate and discourse, but discourages the spread of misinformation. In that very same tweet, Musk capped off his thoughts by adding that he hopes “that many others, particularly from the left, also choose to be content creators on this platform.”

Late last month, Don Lemon took to Twitter to share the news that CNN had unceremoniously dismissed him from his role with the network, after working there for 17 years. He claims that he didn’t so much as have a conversation with upper management about the matter, and claimed that “it is clear that there are some larger issues at play.”

We’ll be sure to keep you posted if Lemon takes Musk up on his offer or tells him to shove it.
