Entitled influencer demands flight attendant open water bottle for her, worries ‘what if I broke my wrists?’

The life of an influencer is hard and fraught with danger. Risks include taking accountability, sometimes having to pay for your expensive meal, and now we can add opening bottles of water to that list. That’s right, one TikTok influencer is currently going viral for all the wrong reasons as she took to the video sharing app to complain about a flight attendant refusing to open her bottle for her.

The original video posted by an influencer known as Michelle has since been wiped off of the internet, but unfortunately for her it was caught by a rather popular TikTok creator who specializes in mocking influencers. TikToker Daadi shared the clip of Michelle complaining about her flight attendant along with a little addition of his own.

In the clip, Michelle claims that she asked a flight attendant to open her water bottle for her. She says the flight attendant “spoke to me like a child,” and refused to open it for her. She then, rather dramatically says, “what if I broke my wrists?” She also claimed that she ended up giving herself a headache as she wasn’t able to drink the water. TikToker Daadi then proceeds to mock Michelle with his trademark nasally influencer voice and dry humor.

Another person on TikTok who works as a flight attendant responded saying, “that is not her job!”

While it’s certainly not the most egregious case of an entitled influencer, Michelle’s melodramatic response seems to be the subject of Daadi and the rest of TikTok’s mockery. It’s very unlikely she would break her wrists while twisting a plastic cap, and flight attendants have a lot more to worry about than whether or not someone can open their bottle.

Not everyone on TikTok agrees

Of course, just to play devil’s advocate and be fair to Michelle, opening water bottles on a plane can be quite a challenge due to the low pressure in the cabin. Some comments on TikTok believe the flight attendant could have been a little kinder if she was genuinely struggling to open the bottle, she didn’t necessarily have to open it herself but it sounds like she was more than a little condescending.

In fact, quite a few sided with Michelle and claimed she wasn’t a Karen and that the flight attendant was actually rude to her. They suggested that Daadi’s response was a little too harsh too. Others fell somewhere in the middle, saying that Michelle should start opening her own bottles but that the attendant was unnecessarily mean. Whatever the case at least Michelle avoided having a public meltdown on the plane which is something we’ve seen some adults do a few too many times lately.
