People on TikTok are going a bit baby crazy.
There are plenty of culprits behind the current infant love, but much of the blame lands on the app’s rising baby filter. Its far from the first to grace TikTok’s “for you” page, but the latest baby-themed offering is snatching up views left and right, as people check out what their offspring might look like.
Scroll past those filters that widen your eyes and smooth out lines for a baby-ish appearance, and instead take a pause over a different type of baby filter. The future baby filter instead gives users a glimpse of what’s to come, by using AI to generate images of their future bundles of joy. The filter can use just one person, basing their baby’s appearance off of images stored in your phone, or combine two separate people for a look at those future families. Here’s how to find the baby generator and peep that progeny for yourself.
TikTok’s future baby generator
There’s quite a bit of confusion surrounding TikTok’s future baby generator, all of which surrounds one outstanding issue: People can’t seem to track down the filter among TikTok’s offerings. Its not among the basic filters offered up in the app’s effects menu, but the addition of one other app will give TikTok users access.
In order to use TikTok’s future baby generator, you’ll first need to track down and download the free CapCut editor. Once the app is downloaded on your device, the option to enjoy CapCut features will show up on TikTok — and allow you to take part in the future baby trend.
Just head over to TikTok, peruse entries already contributing to the future baby trend, and select the “CapCut – Try this template” option that crops up near the bottom of the video. From there, you’ll see an option to “use template in CapCut,” and selecting this will transition you over to the app. Within the CapCut app, you can select “use template,” and fiddle with the baby filter to your heart’s content.
Once you’ve got a video you’re satisfied with, export it from CapCut and save it to your phone. You can then upload it to TikTok, add any sounds or additional filters you’d like to use, and post the resulting masterpiece for the world to see.
