Belatown on TikTok has become a viral sensation for his dramatic skits featuring Barbie dolls. Featuring reoccurring characters like Sarah, Gary, and Ariel, viewers tune in for soap opera-style fights and reality TV-level drama between Barbie dolls.
As for the plot, more often than not one Barbie has cheated on the other, there’s a custody battle over their kids, criminal behavior, and questionable mental health professionals.
The creator recently had to begin censoring profanity in his episodes because the passionate arguments between the Barbies kept getting taken down. Although, this really only adds even more of a reality TV feel.
The show wasn’t always about an overarching storyline, though there were always recurring characters and themes. More often than not the story bounces between two plots: Ariel’s questionable dating endeavors, and Gary being cheated on by his wife.
