‘It’s because she’s black’: MAGA Karen’s Dollar Tree freakout allegedly ends with her trying to run down a cashier in her Tesla

An Atlanta woman’s meltdown inside a Dollar Tree has earned her the nickname “MAGA Karen” after her outburst devolved into racist babbling. A video of the woman’s racist rant was shared on TikTok and, according to the poster, resulted in the Dollar Tree worker who was the target of the rant losing her job.

The initial clip was posted to TikTok by a user called Jaylen. In the video, a white woman is seen standing in a Dollar Tree. She addresses the person recording her, asking, “Did you get served today?” Before adding, “You didn’t get any attitude for being lazy and black?” The video then cuts to the woman being taken away by police.

Jaylen then gives her side of the story, claiming that she had been at the Dollar Tree with her cousin when they heard “some commotion up the front.” She claimed that the Karen was upset with the cashier because she expected the black cashier, who Jaylen calls “Sia,” to unload her shopping onto the conveyor belt for her.

This is what allegedly sparked the initial racist tirade, as Karen apparently called Sia “lazy.” Jaylen claims that Sia became fed up and decided to quit while Karen continued to try and “get her point across” to the other employees. Unfortunately, the altercation did not end there as things turned violent at the Dollar Tree.

Jaylen claimed that, as she stood in the queue to be served, she noticed Sia running in the parking lot. Then she realized that the Karen was chasing her in her Tesla, “Karen is trying to hit Sia with her car.” Jaylen went outside to defuse the situation but claims the Karen ended up trying to run both her and the cashier over.

Jaylen claims that the woman hit them with the car, and Sia began banging on the front windshield, resulting in it getting smashed. In another clip that showed more of the altercation, the woman accused the Dollar Tree cashier of smashing her windshield, claiming, “it’s because she’s black.” Much of the footage of the Karen’s racist rant was taken after the incident in the car park.

In yet another video, taken in the Dollar Tree car park, the woman is seen driving a Tesla and screaming. The text in the video reads, “She wouldn’t let us get to the Dollar Tree after hitting us.” Jaylen and Sia got back into the Dollar Tree, but she claimed that staff didn’t act quickly enough and lock the Karen out.

Jaylen has since set up a GoFundMe for the cashier, whose real name is Morgan Lewis. The description states she “recently experienced a traumatic incident that resulted in her no longer being employed and has completely disrupted her life.” The fundraiser goal is $11k, but so far, only $50 has been raised.
