The Blip. One of the most destructive events ever to happen in the MCU. Caused by Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War as he uses all the Infinity Stones to erase fifty percent of life in the universe. The Blip dusted people indiscriminately, no matter who they were or what they were in the middle of. Now, some Marvel fans have compiled a list of the most awkward or inopportune moments to be blipped.
Theatres across the globe were plunged into a shocked silence when, at the end of Infinity War, Thanos actually achieved his goal of wiping out fifty percent of all life in the universe. The moments after gave us a quick glimpse into what The Blip looked like as some of our favorite heroes were dusted away, with Peter Parker grasping onto Iron Man as he pleaded, “I don’t want to go,” before dusting right in front of him. It was a sobering moment for many in the audience to see our heroes lose for once and lose on a massive scale.
In phase four, we got to see what the return of people looked like as well, with Spider-Man: No Way Home showing the rather funny moment a marching band appeared in the middle of a school game, or, less funny, series such as WandaVision showed hospitals in disarray as people landed back in the positions they were dusted from.
There must have been some regrettable Blip incidents, and now Marvel fans have taken to Reddit to go over what they imagine to be the most absurd, funniest, or downright horrifying ways The Blip could have interfered in many people’s lives.
