Mother of 7yo realizes her daughter’s night terrors are real after witnessing otherworldly presence tormenting her

Isn't this the plot of 'Sinister?'

Every parent’s worst nightmare is not being able to protect their child. But what is a mother supposed to do when her daughter is being tormented by a paranormal entity? That’s the predicament one woman has found herself in and she’s turned to TikTok for help after recording evidence that seemingly proves her daughter’s night terrors might be based in reality.

A video posted to TikTok by Aaliyah, a mother to a seven-year-old girl, shows what appears to be a paranormal occurrence. Aaliyah explains that her daughter had had a night terror that night and when she tried to gently guide her back to her own bedroom she caught some terrifying evidence of an otherworldly presence as the blinds aggressively shut on their own.

The clip has received almost 1.5 million views with many on TikTok believing Aaliyah’s story. However, others were a little bit more skeptical.

Several viewers spoke about the “veil,” claiming that it is thinner for younger children and as such “They can see and sense things that we are closed off to.” Some claimed they had experienced similar things as children but had not been believed. Meanwhile, the skeptics called bull, one person even claimed to see strings pulling the blinds although it seems nobody else can see these elusive strings.

Is the video real?

As with any video pertaining to the paranormal, it can be incredibly difficult to conclusively say whether it’s genuine or not. At the end of the day it’s down to personal beliefs, do you believe in the paranormal? Or are you more inclined to look for logical, earthly explanations.

For those curious, Aaliyah has made multiple videos on the subject now. Even before the clip that saw viral attention, Aaliyah claimed that she was documenting her child’s night terrors to show to her doctor. This explains why she was recording in the first place (something which usually doesn’t have a valid explanation in most paranormal videos).

In another clip from the same night we see the door to the bedroom closing by itself. While the mother tries to reason that it was air from the vent nearby, the timing of the door closing seems awfully suspicious.

Aaliyah also demonstrates how the blinds operate, showing that they aren’t battery powered and that they all need to be pulled down individually by somebody standing there. While strings could conceivably be used to close them it would be difficult to do.

Whatever the case, it seems as though Aaliyah fully believes her daughter about the night terrors being real now.
