NY woman claims talking to NFL quarterback Tommy DeVito on Bumble, shares his alleged explicit response: ‘I’m pretty sure it was him’

A New York TikTok creator, Sarina Gupta (@guptasarina), has shared screenshots that she says show a 2024 Bumble conversation with NFL quarterback Tommy DeVito. The post comes as DeVito has recently made headlines for his engagement, prompting Gupta to revisit what she described as an old dating app exchange.

In the TikTok video, Gupta displays what appears to be a Bumble conversation that she says began in 2024. According to the screenshots she shared, she initiated the conversation before receiving an explicit reply that included a comment about her body.

Gupta also shows what appears to be a Bumble profile bearing Tommy DeVito’s name and a blue verification check mark. The profile shown in her video lists the user’s age as 23.

Commenters disagreed whether or not its the real DeVito

“In honor of all the news about Tommy DeVito right now,” Gupta says in the video, “here’s a screenshot from my conversation with him on Bumble in 2024. Also, I’m pretty sure it was him because it has that blue check mark, and you can only get that if you verify yourself with a selfie.”

The shared Bumble exchange shows Gupta responding, “Bold opener there, Tommy.” To which the alleged DeVito account answers, “Oops.”

The age shown on the profile became a point of discussion in the video’s comments. One viewer wrote, “He would’ve been 25 turning 26 in 2024. I think this is a fake profile or you got your years wrong.”

Others debated whether a verified badge alone proves an account is genuine. One commenter claimed, “FYI – you can verify yourself and then swap out all of the pictures…so never just trust a blue checkmark.” Another user responded, “Idk cause whenever I change my pics it makes me re verify.”

Bumble says its Photo Verification system requires users to submit a selfie that matches their profile photos before receiving a blue verification badge. The company offers a separate ID Verification feature for users who want to verify their age and identity using a government-issued ID. Bumble encourages users to request additional verification if they have concerns about a match’s authenticity.

This renewed attention also comes shortly after reports that DeVito became engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, according to Us Weekly. The quarterback enters the 2026 NFL season as a backup with the New England Patriots after signing with the team earlier this year following previous stints with the New York Giants.

Neither DeVito nor his representatives had publicly addressed Gupta’s TikTok video at the time of publication.
