NY Woman receives an accidental text from her ‘best friend,’ but the message is actually about her: ‘She wanted you to find out’

An NY woman who claims to have received an accidental text message from her friend has been told by the TikTok community to cut them off after it was revealed that she and her friend were talking to the same guy. The woman says she didn’t realize the message wasn’t meant for her at first but was left in disbelief after reading the whole thing.

TikToker Kristinaa claims that she received the text from her now “ex-friend” while she was driving. At first, she had the message read aloud through her car’s text-to-speech so she could continue driving, but quickly had to pull over to read it herself after hearing what she assumed was a mistake.

“I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s got to be wrong,’ like, the way my car read it,” Kristinaa says. However, the text-to-speech wasn’t wrong, and what she read changed her view of her friend permanently. According to the TikToker, her friend’s message said she was “really liking the guy that Kristinaa’s talking to.” Apparently, the friend then went on to admit in her text to hanging out with the guy Kristinaa was seeing behind her back.

According to Kristinaa, she and the friend had been on the phone with the man earlier that day, and both had pretended not to know each other. She claimed she would never talk to the friend again after what she had done, addressing her directly in her video: “I guess this is your way of finding out that you just texted the wrong person because I’m not talking to you after this.”

TikTok gives advice

Most, if not all, commenters agreed with Kristinaa’s decision to cut off her friend, but some suggested that she go a little further by finding out who the friend was texting because “that person needs to be blocked too.” Another implied that Kristinaa should flirt with her friend’s dad, asking, “How old are you and is her dad single?”

Many also suspected that the text wasn’t actually accidental; rather, the friend had sent it on purpose: “She wanted you to find out so she could have him.” In a later video, Kristinaa claimed that she knew her friend had seen her previous TikTok, but there had been no word from her: “I’m kind of just waiting for an acknowledgement.” 

Unfortunately, it seems she might still be waiting; either that or she’s forgotten to update her followers. Her followers recommended she leave it alone and act like her former friend and the man no longer exist which might be for the best.
