A heartwarming interaction at aWalmart in Pennsylvania has caused a massive surge in sales for a new fragrance business, proving that sometimes the best marketing comes from your clients. The business’s signature perfume has completely sold out following the viral story of a woman picking up her car after an oil filter change.
Colby shared her video on TikTok, explaining that the employee at the service counter started checking her out as she was retrieving her keys before declaring, “It was you.” The Mary Sue reported that Colby already suspected what he was talking about, but she let him continue anyway. This interaction is certainly better than other stories of Walmart, like insane price hikes or finding weaponized bread.
The worker exclaimed that she smelled “so good,” sniffing the air as he processed her payment. Colby said that while she layered a couple of products, the star of the show was Marshmallow Moon by Fairy Nest Fragrances. She admitted she’s obsessed with the scent and owns three bottles of it because it’s the best marshmallow perfume available.
This scent is probably amazing because the description certainly sounds delicious
The seller describes Marshmallow Moon as a sweet escape. Its scent notes start with an airy confection of spun sugar that leads into a heart of fluffy marshmallows melting into a cloud of creamy warmth. Finally, a base of rich, warm vanilla adds a velvety depth, making you smell like a cozy embrace. It definitely sounds like it was crafted by and for gourmands.
The perfume has received rave reviews, with one user saying they “can’t stop sniffing myself,” and another immediately ordering a second bottle. One fan even called the fragrance an “absolute masterpiece,” promising that wearers “will smell delicious.” Unsurprisingly, the scent, which usually costs around $56.47, is currently sold out.
The founder of Fairy Nest Fragrances, Lynette, confirmed that the viral video has been amazing for her business. Lynette, who opened her shop in January 2025, explained in a recent interview that she created Marshmallow Moon because she felt there was a real gap in the market for a true, straightforward marshmallow scent. After a personal project turned into a full business, the perfume quickly became the shop’s most loved item.
Lynette was “honestly shocked and incredibly grateful” for the attention. She shared that while the perfume already had a dedicated fan base, the viral moment introduced it to a much broader audience. Lynette even thanked Colby for the shoutout and the random man who complimented her perfume at the oil change, calling him a hero who doesn’t wear a cape.
