RFK Jr.’s public workout with Kid Rock goes wrong, and two gym-goers have the viral footage

Honestly, I can’t get past one thing. Who works out in jeans?

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has gone viral again, after he unintentionally became the star of two separate Instagram clips, one of which was also shared on TikTok. All the man did was go for a workout at a public gym and kinda fail at it. Unsurprisingly, the internet is having a field day with it.

This whole situation comes right after his somewhat bizarre and cringeworthy workout video with Kid Rock. It seems RFK Jr. decided to take his exercise routine to a public Gold’s Gym in Austin, Texas. Per Daily Dot, as he stepped onto a stair climbing machine, the people on his left and right both recognized him and couldn’t resist the opportunity to capture the moment.

The first to post was @elxavipapi, who was on the health secretary’s right. “This wasn’t on my bingo card,” the video caption reads. The clip then pans to show RFK Jr. slumped over his machine, and his neighbor even mouthed, “what the f—.” Oh, and yes, he was wearing jeans. That video has racked up nearly 6 million views on Instagram.

Seriously… Jeans! There is a man who has never had to worry about chafing

The very next day, @deniscepalacios posted on Instagram and TikTok, this one showing the health secretary from his left side. “RFK is on a stair master next to me,” she wrote, adding, “I’ve never been so determined to stay on this thing in my life.” She explained that she’d been on the “stupid torture machine” for about ten minutes when he walked up. She initially thought she was hallucinating and then “locked in out of spite.”

Her final shot proudly displayed her time on the machine at over 31 minutes, far outlasting the health secretary. “He didn’t even hit 12 minutes,” she reported. “I outlasted RFK. Denisce: 1. Fascists: 0.” This clip really blew up, accumulating 1 million likes on Instagram and 1.5 million views on TikTok. She even added that she “stairmaxxed him,” admitting she was “suffering” through it.

What made this whole thing even more wild was the “algorithm magic” that happened. Tons of people reported that these two independent videos were popping up on their Instagram feeds one right after the other. It’s like the internet gods knew what we all needed.

Redditor r/newphonehudus called it a “mythological algorithm pull,” which is just perfect. The comments took off, with folks imagining what they’d do if RFK Jr. took the machine next to them. “I would have asked why his stupid a— was wearing jeans,” r/LeopardNo6083 claimed, calling it a “wasted opportunity.” Another Redditor, r/auntiefuh25, simply wrote, “I would get kicked out of the gym at the very least.”

Hey, at least he went viral for trying to live up to the lifestyle he espouses and not for something crazy he said, like his past cocaine use.
