For years people have tried to capture irrefutable proof of the afterlife be it ghostly apparitions, poltergeists, or demons, there’s plenty of videos out there that claim to show the existence of such a world. But one father got more than he bargained for as he tried to show his daughter and the rest of TikTok his paranormal evidence.
In the clip we see the father trying to show his daughter, Ari, that objects in the house are moving by themselves. Ari records the whole scene as her father places a pair of tweezers near a phone laying on the counter without either touching. His goal is to show that some unseen force is somehow moving the tweezers without them noticing. When Ari moves her phone to get a better look, the two objects have moved closer and are now touching.
It’s clear that Ari’s father is absolutely convinced that their house is haunted but little does he know that Ari’s sister has a hilarious prank planned to scare the living daylights out of him. The sister is waiting for the right moment to pull the breaker and cut the lights. Just when the father is in the middle of sharing his ghostly theory, she pulls it and he and Ari are plunged into darkness which elicits a high-pitched scream of fear from her dad.
The execution was perfectly timed and the reaction is priceless.
Screamed like the Grinch
The over the top reaction is exactly what the two sisters were hoping for as Ari falls to the ground laughing while her dad is left bewildered. Viewers on TikTok loved the harmless prank too, “the marv scream took me out,” wrote one. “Thats the scream of a man who’s being petrified in his own home and that was his last straw,” another surmised.
Either way, it’s a hilarious video and it seemingly got a good chuckle out of those who watched it. However, there was one significant question a few people still wanted answers to. “Okay but fr how did the phone move closer?” Asked one curious commenter. All joking aside, Ari’s dad might actually be on to something here, after all, we can clearly see that the tweezers moved without anyone touching them and with no cuts in the video.
The father had apparently been claiming “the phone kept moving off the dresser,” according to Ari. However, other viewers believed they cracked the mystery, claiming it was simply the magnets in the phone causing the relatively lightweight metal tweezers to be pulled towards it. Either way, Ari and her sister got their dad good.
