‘She did nothing wrong’: Video of woman kicking dog goes viral but the people of TikTok think she had a good reason for doing so

While dogs are usually beings of pure innocence that can do no wrong, sometimes our four-legged friends can be menaces to others. It’s important to keep an eye on your pet in public spaces as you never know what they’re capable of.

In this case, one woman on TikTok found herself having to defend herself from a small dog and its owner after the canine ran up to her and bit her leg. 

The clip, posted by “curls_with_attitude” shows the irresponsible dog owner failing to pay attention to his dog as the woman and her daughter walk past. The dog runs up to her and can clearly be seen nipping at the hem of the woman’s pants, at this point the woman kicks out her leg to push the dog off. 

It’s at this point the airheaded owner starts paying attention. Although there’s no audio, it’s clear that he’s angry from his body language. He immediately steps towards the mother in an aggressive manner before shoving her pretty hard. The mother returns the shove but the video cuts before we can see how the altercation resolves.

TikTok is on her side

Obviously the TikTok netizens were quick to jump to the woman’s defense. With her young child being there and the dog acting aggressively her response of kicking the dog makes total sense. “your child was right there and some dog comes against you and you child, yeah we gonna protect our children!” Wrote one viewer.

However, most of the anger was directed towards the incompetent dog owner who should have been keeping his pet on a tighter leash or at the very least, keeping an eye on it. “Did he not realize it bit her?” One person asked, “How he mad his dog bit YOU???” Added another.

People were also desperate to know what happened next as the video cuts so abruptly. In a second video, the mother gives a little more context to the incident as she explains her and her daughter were visiting their grandmother who lives in the gated community. According to her, she had previously been told that the dog bites so she was somewhat prepared for it. 

Of course, after all hell broke loose, the mother claims she cut the footage as that was when her grandmother stepped in and she wanted to protect her privacy, however, there was a bit more shoving between both sides before things finally cooled off. While she confirmed that she did call the police and that everyone was okay, viewers suggested she also press charges.
