‘She’s 30 years younger than you’: Elon Musk slammed for ‘weird’ post about Sydney Sweeney’s body part, and X users are not having it

Elon Musk created a huge controversy after sharing a strange graphic about actress Sydney Sweeney‘s red carpet appearance. The 54-year-old billionaire got heavy criticism on his own platform, X, after commenting on the 28-year-old star’s outfit at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, The Housemaid. Sweeney wore a beautiful white dress with a low neckline and feathered skirt to the event.

According to Daily Mail, Musk posted a weird AI-generated image in response to a video of the Euphoria actress. The graphic showed a smiling woman with large breasts next to an image of a body with a red, inflamed spine. The post included audio of a childish voice saying “Owie,” suggesting the actress must have back pain because of her breast size.

X users quickly criticized the post. Many people found it inappropriate that a man decades older than Sweeney was publicly talking about her body. One user pointed out the age gap, writing, “She’s 30 years younger than you. Weird.” Another user commented: “Tell the truth, you want to have a baby with her.”

This isn’t the first time Musk has made creepy comments about young female celebrities

The criticism focused on more than just the nearly 30-year age difference.  Users compared the post to other controversial comments Musk has made about young women. 

Someone mentioned a bizarre statement Musk made in September 2024 aimed at Taylor Swift. After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president, Musk tweeted, “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.” Despite being the world’s richest person, Musk continues to face criticism for his online behavior.

Sweeney has actually addressed this topic before. She recently took a lie detector test for a Vanity Fair episode with her Housemaid costar, Amanda Seyfried. Seyfried asked her directly, “Are your boobs real?” Sweeney immediately answered, “Yes!” When asked if she’d ever had any work done on her breasts, Sweeney said no. The polygraph administrator confirmed she was being truthful.

It’s worth noting that back pain can come from many common problems, including muscle pain, herniated discs, or poorly fitting bras. Musk’s attempt at a joke completely fell flat. The whole situation has only increased the discomfort many X users feel about how the platform owner behaves toward celebrity women. This incident adds to his ongoing controversies with major agencies and public criticism.
