In the middle of boarding their flight, TikTok creator Rachel Gaede shared that her father’s main concern was to prove that he could kick a suitcase five times mid-jump. “Normally I can do it,” he said as he began booting his wife’s suitcase to prove himself.

Viewers found this exchange hilarious, earning the video over 9 million views and 1.1 million likes. Commenters reacted with things like, “Your parents need their own reality show,” and “There is no energy like ‘Dad at the airport 4 hours early for the flight’ energy.”

Gaede even shared in the comments that her dad has made it to fours kicks before having to board, but luckily, that wasn’t the end of the saga.

On the way back from their family vacation, Gaede showed her audience that the simple challenge had turned into a completion between her sister and father.

The video featured an intense one-on-one suitcase kicking completion. Unfortunately, it seemed that the high score sat at only three.

Viewers still seemed equally invested, giving the follow-up more than two million views and 200,000 likes. Commenters were even cheering them on, sharing how invested they are in the family rivalry.

“Why is he getting so good at this? He’s been practicing hasn’t he,” reacted one commenter. Another shared, “If I saw this at the airport, I would be incredibly invested lol.”

To keep up to date on whether Rachel’s dad finally reaches 5 suitcase kicks, follow her on TikTok. And next time you travel, maybe even try this for yourself.
