TikTok influencer sees internet turn on her after her friend’s husky died while in her care, she returned the dog in a suitcase

The TikTok influencer claims she found the dog unresponsive but the owner doesn't believe her.

A TikTok influencer is currently watching her follower count dwindle after a series of controversies saw her become the number one villain on the app. Fahdima Medes has been accused of animal cruelty after she was paid to look after a husky only for the dog to die under her watch.

According to the TikTok account “recoveredmom1,” the dog was a seven-year-old husky named JC and the owner met Fahdima through the dog-sitting website Rover back in March. The owner left JC with Fahdima for a period of 10 days while she was away on holiday, however, when she returned to pick up her dog she was met by the influencer and her boyfriend and they were carrying the dead body of her dog in a suitcase and they claimed that JC had died in its sleep the night before.

Something doesn’t add up

While it’s not outside the realm of possibility that the couple were telling the truth, the owner felt that something was off about the story she was given. First of all, JC’s collar was missing which Fahdima could not explain. Seeking more answers, the owner had an autopsy and toxicology report done on the body but the results were inconclusive with the cause of death not being determined.

However, the autopsy did reveal that there was a “significant amount of internal decomposition,” which indicated that the dog had died earlier than they initially believed to be the case.

Since the death of JC in March, the dog’s owner has apparently filed a lawsuit against Fahdima and her boyfriend as they believe that something else happened and that the influencer is trying to cover it up.

TikTok turns on Fahdima

This is the second controversy that the influencer has been involved in lately as she also found herself in hot water after allegedly scamming a family owned restaurant out of hundreds of dollars worth of free food. Since then Fahdima has turned off comments on her account but her videos are still not being received very well on the platform.

Fahdima did address both controversies back in November. In a written statement she claimed that she found the dog unresponsive on the final morning he was under her care. She claims that, as it is now a part of a civil lawsuit she cannot give more details. She also claims that her personal information has been leaked and she’s even received death threats, many on TikTok don’t take kindly to animals being mistreated

People are not satisfied with her response and believe that she should be held accountable for whatever happened to JC as well as her apparent restaurant scamming. It’s currently unclear how far along the lawsuit is but hopefully we’ll get answers soon.
