Traffic flagger confronts driver for hitting her at a construction zone. Then he reveals he has recorded it all: ‘I have it on tape’

Once she learns she was being recorded, she moved out of the view.

A traffic flagger in a construction zone appears to have accused a driver of hitting her. The driver seems to have captured the confrontation on a dashcam. The footage then became part of the argument over what happened.

The clip was posted on the TikTok account EveryWhere Entertainment. Its audio opens with a complaint about a five-minute wait, though it is unclear who says it. Soon after, the traffic flagger appears to walk backward into the car.

She reacts as if the car hit her, asking, “Did you hit me?” while pointing at the license plate and reaching into her pockets. Someone inside the car responds, “It’s on film.” Another voice adds, “You walked into me. It’s on film.”

The driver says the car never moved

The people behind the camera insist the car never moved. One voice says, “He never moved the car. She walked back into the car.” Another follows with, “He didn’t move. Not. Not a millimeter.” The woman then moves to the side of the car and out of view, while the people inside continue talking to her. A voice then stresses the point: “I have it on tape.” Soon after, the same person says, “I got it on film. She backed into my car!”

The footage is important because the two sides appear to have very different accounts of what happened. The people inside the car repeatedly point to the recording as proof that the vehicle never moved.

Flaggers have a specific role in construction zones. The Texas Department of Insurance describes them as an important line of protection between moving vehicles and a work area. Its guidance says flaggers should stand on the shoulder or another protected spot rather than in an open lane. The guidance does not address this incident, and the video does not say where it was filmed.

Comments under the video largely side with the driver. One top comment riffs on the audio with, “He never moved not a smellameter.” Another wrote, “imagine he had no recording and she claims he tried to run her over.” Both comments have drawn thousands of likes.

Some drivers keep a camera running for this reason, so they can show where blame belongs. That seems to be the idea here. A few commenters were not convinced, though. One wrote, “You changed your camera angles it cut and stitched lol good try.”

It is not clear from the audio whether the video was edited. At the time of writing, no outcome has been confirmed for either person.
