Walmart customer says security called her eating in the car ‘unacceptable’ and demanded she leave: ‘I’ve been here less than 10 minutes’

A TikTok creator, Jackie, says a quick stop to eat tacos in her car before shopping led to an unexpected interaction with a store security guard. She documented the encounter in a video that has since drawn attention on social media.

The woman recorded the video, pointing toward a security vehicle parked nearby. While sitting in her car, she explains how her quick break took a turn when an older security guard approached her and began monitoring her closely.

“So I’m sitting here in the parking lot trying to eat my tacos before I go into the store,” she explained, gesturing toward the parking lot. She noted that the situation escalated after the guard “parked up right behind me, trying to be all intimidating,” before getting out of her vehicle to confront the woman directly.

Hoping to finish her meal in peace, she instead found herself confronted for simply sitting in her vehicle. “I was going to come up here and ask you if you were an employee or if you were shopping,” she recounted the guard telling her, “but I see that you’re eating dinner… I’m going to need you to finish up and leave this parking lot immediately because this is unacceptable.”

While retailers have increased security measures in recent years, Jackie said her interaction happened before she had even entered the store. She questioned why eating in her parked car was considered a problem. “It’s unacceptable to eat in my f*****g car before I go into the store?” she asked, visibly annoyed by the demand. “Shut the **** up.”

She said the encounter didn’t end there. According to Jackie, the security guard continued driving past her vehicle several times, which she interpreted as an attempt to pressure her into leaving. “Oh, and she just did another loop to let me know that she’s watching me,” she said, looking into her rear-view mirror as the car circled back. “Look at that. And this is like the fourth time.” Not every interaction involving staff ends in a negative confrontation. In some cases, employees have stepped in to protect their customers.

Refusing to spend her money at the establishment after the interaction, she decided not to shop there. “I’m not going to fucking go into the store because fuck that,” she added, explaining she had originally planned to run an errand for family. “I needed to pick some shit up for my mom. I’m not fucking going into the store anymore.” Wrapping up the video, she said she had been in the parking lot for “less than 10 minutes,” suggesting the encounter happened shortly after she arrived.
