Wisconsin Mom says she was stalked through TJ Maxx with her kid in stroller. When she sprints to her car, the man runs after her: ‘they better amp up the security’

A casual discount shopping trip shouldn't require a survival strategy.

A woman shared a chilling story on TikTok about multiple shopping trips to TJ Maxx that did not go the way she expected. According to Kailee, who goes by the handle @kaileemorgan06, she was followed and targeted by a mysterious man on two separate occasions at the exact same store location.

The woman posted the video to her social media account, warning her viewers, “Okay, story time about something that’s now happened twice to me at TJ Maxx.” She added that she was sharing the experience for one critical reason: “I’m only telling you the story to be aware of your surroundings.”

During her first trip, which she took by herself, she was browsing through the dress section when she first noticed a man approaching her. “I was in the ladies section, like, looking at dresses, and then a man started coming up and looking at dresses,” she explained.

She decided to see if the stranger was really following her

Trying to shake him, she decided to walk over to the shoe section, but the unsettling feeling didn’t go away. “I turn, look, and I could just feel eyes on me,” she said. Determined to find out if she was truly being stalked, she came up with a plan to test him. “I was like, okay, what are the odds that this man follows me to the baby section? That’ll be the true test,” she recalled.

Sure enough, the man followed her. She described him as “literally in the baby section, like, kind of, like, lingering on the outside of it,” standing near the athletic wear while looking directly at her. “I was like, this is terrifying,” she said. Terrified, she got a store employee to escort her safely to her vehicle.

Her experience is one of several unsettling shopping stories that have recently gone viral, such as when a 17-year-old mom noticed a man staring at her in a Walmart parking lot before realizing he was tampering with her car.

What came next, according to the shopper, was even more frightening because she was not alone during her next visit. On a subsequent trip to the exact same TJ Maxx, she was pushing her daughter in a stroller when she realized the same man was following her again.

The situation escalated rapidly when she went to pay for her items. “I look up, he’s right there. And then he comes walking really fast, gets in line behind me, and I started to panic,” she said. “Like, I just could feel my heart racing.”

Anxious to protect her daughter, she checked out as fast as possible and ran to her car. But as she was buckling her child in, she witnessed something that made her freeze. “I see this man, I kid you not, sprint out of TJ Maxx. Like, run. He ran,” she said. “I froze. My heart sunk. I was like, he’s running out of TJ Maxx. Like, what the heck?”

According to the woman, he then began wandering through the parking lot “like a lost puppy,” seemingly searching for her. She waited until his back was turned to throw her stroller into the trunk, jump inside, and lock the doors. Unanticipated retail scares are becoming a frequent topic on TikTok, drawing parallels to another viral incident where a woman used the tanning beds at Planet Fitness for her entire membership before discovering a shocking truth about what she had been lying on.

Though she admitted she kept wondering if she was “imagining” the severity of the situation, she urged other women to take her story seriously. “Trust your gut. That was terrible,” she warned. “So be aware of your surroundings, ladies, because you can’t trust anyone, even at your favorite place, TJ Maxx. So they better amp up the security, let me tell you.”
