A bachelorette trip that was supposed to last a week ended when TikToker Sophia beat a hasty retreat. It was a party for her best friend but had turned sour immediately when she found out that the bride’s list of things to do weren’t wishes or suggestions. They were rules. As she drove back home, Sophia shared her experience on TikTok as she drove the 12 hours home after just three days. The video went on to gain over 1.7 million views.
In her post caption, she told her viewers, “please ignore how crusty I am looking, I feel quite exhausted and quite overwhelmed right now lol.” Sophia alleged, “She had, like, a bajillion rules for all of us that we, like, had to follow the whole time, and they were diabolical rules. Like, she got mad at me when I first showed up because I didn’t dye my hair brown.” Sophia added. “She asked every girl to dye their hair brown. So that way, she could be the blond one that stood out and was, like, the star of the show.”
The control didn’t stop at hair color. Sophia also described an impossible dress code where the bride restricted almost every color, including pink, white, red, gold, and silver. “If I was standing out and very, like, flamboyant or just fucking cute. She was literally screaming at you and telling you to go change your clothes,” she told TikTok. Then came the one rule Sophia absolutely refused to follow.

According to Sophia, the bride even demanded that the women remove their wedding and engagement rings for the trip. Sophia refused, noting, “I’m not taking my ring off. I couldn’t even take this ring off even if I wanted to, though, to be for real. Like, I. Since I got married, I’ve gained a little bit of weight, and it’s. It’s stuck there whether she likes it or not.”

Purportedly, the bride told Sophia that her husband had her on a leash and that he needed to loosen up. “I said, ‘What? No. Like, you’re. You’re crazy if you think that’s how marriage works,'” Sophia recounted. For Sophia, cheating was non-negotiable.
Since the video went live, viewers have been very supportive of Sophia. One user wrote, “Taking your wedding rings off?! Hell no. You know right then that it’s going to get sketchy.” Another commented, “I’m not coloring my hair for anyone.”
Others were divided on whether she should inform the fiancé, with one person stating, “You 100% should tell him! He deserves to know who he is really marrying!” Another suggested, “No don’t show tell the fiancée anything. Be the bigger person and just walk away.”
