Woman home alone with baby orders Uber Eats, an hour later she notices the food where it shouldn’t be: ‘My Uber Eats man has entered my house’

When it comes to ordering Uber Eats, we all know how it’s supposed to work: you order the food, the delivery driver drops it off outside your door, you pick it up, and they leave. At least, that is how it’s supposed to work. However, one woman on TikTok, who ordered a meal through the app, realised that the food had actually been left inside her house, which led her to one chilling conclusion: the delivery driver had been inside her home.

“I had to quickly get my phone out to record this because I can’t believe what I am seeing,” Tina, the concerned Uber Eats customer, said. “My Uber Eats man has entered my house!” She then showed her food, wrapped in a white bag, placed on the floor in front of the door to her home, inside the house.

“I feel a little bit violated,” Tina said before claiming that there had been no updates on her order to confirm that it had been delivered. Her disbelief turned to fear as the thought of a stranger being in her house while she was completely unaware hit her. “I don’t like this at all. I don’t feel good. I’m scared.” This isn’t the first time a customer has allegedly been intimidated by an Uber Eats delivery person.

While Tina said it was “partially my fault for having left the door open,” she said, “It’s not my fault because nobody should just come into my house.” She also claimed that she was home alone with her baby at the time and that the whole situation made her fear for her safety, “Surely this can’t be okay??” she wrote in the description, tagging the official Uber Eats TikTok account.

Uber Eats responds

Tina speculated that she may have been in the shower at the time the delivery driver dropped off the food, which would explain why she didn’t hear anything. She claimed she wasn’t contacted at all to let her know the food had arrived and she had no idea how long it had been sitting there.

“This is completely unacceptable, and we are so sorry this happened,” the official Uber account responded in the comments. Uber also confirmed that the safety team was investigating the incident and that appropriate action would be taken.

Commenters claimed that Tina had done nothing wrong, even if her door was unlocked: “You don’t just let yourself into a house unlocked or not,” one comment reads. “Even if the door was open WIDE, a random stranger should still not come inside???” another agreed.
