Woman says her partner’s family ‘enabled him’. Then she reveals their dead child was kept in a freezer: ‘read this like 5 times’

TikTok is really stretching the TikTok Netflix documentary trend for all it’s worth. A woman, whose username is @elizibethk97, took to the platform to give a shocking confession about her disintegrated relationship. She alleged that her ex was a liar and a manipulator and claimed that, at one point, he had their child in a freezer. One user in the comments took the words out of everyone’s mouth and wrote that they had to “read that like 5 times.”

If you’re one of the few people who still don’t know what the Netflix documentary trend is, allow us to explain. Netflix’s murder documentaries have reached the apex of pop culture. Everyone knows their aesthetic, everyone knows their score, and everyone has an opinion on them.

A lot of people have now taken to social media to post about their own lives, making jokes that an aspect of their life might also be worthy of a documentary. Initially, it started with people making self-deprecating jokes about how they needed a Netflix documentary about what it’s like to live alone while being short, but the stories got darker as time went by.

There have already been victims of the trend

One Oklahoma TikTok influencer was allegedly killed by her husband after she accused him of being a pedophile. So the trend has officially become just as high-stakes as the Netflix murder documentaries they were supposed to be satirizing in the first place. And Elizabeth’s TikTok is no different.

Her post shows her sitting on an empty chair with a caption alleging that her ex was being “enabled” by his family after he impacted her life in a profoundly negative way. She also made the extraordinary claim that her ex had hidden a child’s body in a freezer. There is no independent confirmation of that allegation, but understandably, it was the detail that caught everyone’s attention.

Some users were scared that something drastic might happen to her in retaliation. One user wrote, “Can you please be careful. I’m scared after Sara Gilson.” Another added, “Please tell me you posted this when he’s already behind bars? Someone just got murdered shortly after doing one of these.”

This is deserving of an actual Netflix documentary

Others suggested that the story could absolutely be deserving of an actual documentary. One user wrote, “I liked this because I’m shook that this isn’t viral because that is WILD… like damn! I am so sorry you lived through that, but also this honestly would be a Netflix documentary because I have no doubt it would be #1.”

Another user added, “I’m lost at the dead child in the freezer exactly how does that happen…. If my kids aren’t bothering me for more than 10min I’m questioning where they are.”

In follow-up posts, Elizabeth suggested that she was surprised that her use of dark humor to cope with one of the lowest points of her life had TikTok asking her to start from the beginning. She still hasn’t delved deeply into the story of her life, but she did reveal that she has since had another daughter and is slowly leaving her past trauma behind her.
