Woman’s married friend goes missing, but instead of calling the police she decides to publicly shame her

A woman on TikTok has shocked people on the app after telling viewers that her friend was missing, however, the shocking part wasn’t the fact that the friend was missing, but rather the woman’s response to the situation.

In a now deleted video, the woman, who goes by “GorgeousChef” on TikTok, seems completely unfazed by her friend’s disappearance. She explains that she received a text from her friend’s husband telling her to pass on a message: “You can just tell the wife that I say goodnight.” Clearly he believed his wife had been out with the woman but there was just one problem, she hadn’t seen her friend in two days.

It seems the woman may have lied to her husband and told her she was staying with her friend, but evidently she wasn’t, so that begs the question, where is she now? GorgeousChef seems to be making light of the situation and even shaming her friend, however she later returned with an update and worryingly, her friend was still nowhere to be found. She claims her mom believed the friend was “stepping out” on the husband, but on TikTok, people’s minds turned to a more frightening alternative.

One woman on TikTok by the name of Saron responded to the videos calling out the original poster for not taking the situation seriously enough.

“Frankly I’m between you killing her and him killing her,” Saron says that if her friend reacted like this to her going missing they would certainly no longer be friends. GorgeousChef choosing to make a TikTok publicly talking about her friend rather than taking the situation seriously was certainly a choice and many on the app apparently feel the same as Saron.

What happened to the friend?

Despite everything, it seems the police weren’t contacted. People were naturally suspicious of the whole situation with some speculating that the friend had indeed met some kind of terrible fate. As Saron already mentioned, it could have even been the husband himself. The fact that the original poster didn’t take the matter more seriously rubbed many the wrong way. Saron says it’s strange but she hopes the situation was made up for attention, as it’s better than the alternative. 

A few comments claimed that the woman had been found alive and well and that GorgeousChef had confirmed as much in another video but since her posts have since been taken down it’s difficult to confirm whether that is truly the case or not. Regardless, many on the app have given their responses to the original video and they have not been kind towards the woman for seemingly making light of her friend’s disappearance.
