‘Your husband does not love you’: TikTok tells woman to leave her man after she got him an Xbox for Christmas and he got her a butter dish

Christmas may not be all about gifts, but they sure are a way to show somebody how you feel about them. Be it a thoughtful gift or a lavish and pricey one, a present can let someone know you value them. Unfortunately there are people out there who simply don’t put any thought or money into their presents and one woman on TikTok found out after her husband got her the lamest present one could imagine.

The video, which has since been deleted, was originally posted by Jasmine Hope and in it she stated that she had bought her husband an Xbox for Christmas. As most people reading this already know, an Xbox is not a cheap gift to buy. With prices ranging between $600 to $650 for the latest generation console. So what did Jasmine get in return for her pricey present? She got a butter dish.

Again, it’s not about the price, but at the very least you should probably get your spouse something that lets them know you have actually listened to their wants over the past year. Unfortunately she isn’t the only woman to be disappointed by her husband’s half-assed attempt at getting her a gift this Christmas. If Jasmine had been a butter dish connoisseur then perhaps this would have been a great gift, but judging by her reaction she isn’t exactly crazy about the piece of kitchenware.

TikTok advises dumping the husband

As is usually the case in these types of situations the people of TikTok have recommended that she leave her husband over the thoughtless gift. To be fair, it really does seem like he walked into his local Dollar Tree and bought the first item he saw. He clearly put no effort into buying the woman he supposedly loves something decent at all. 

TikToker Shaghana Doyle addressed a video to Jasmine, telling her “your husband does not love, your husband does not even know you, your husband literally looks at you as an accessory to the kitchen.” Harsh words for sure but she might have a point.

It seems the majority of TikTok are of the same mindset, stating that the gift was unacceptable and that the husband should have put more effort into his gift.

Jasmine would later walk back her video and defend her husband stating that she did actually get other gifts, (boots, perfume, lip gloss), from him but by then it was too late and the TikTok army was already marching to get her justice. Another TikToker by the name of Earthly Virgo added her two cents and called out Jasmine for defending her husband saying, “stop accepting the bare minimum from these raggedy ass men.”
