Proof That Metta World Peace Isn’t All Bad

I've been critical of Metta World Peace in the past. He's done some outlandish and unsportsmanlike things during his NBA journey, which started in 1999 and took him through five different cities. But I have to tip my hat at his latest adventure. World Peace has been in L.A. since 2009 and now it appears he's going a little Hollywood.

I’ve been critical of Metta World Peace in the past. He’s done some outlandish and unsportsmanlike things during his NBA journey, which started in 1999 and took him through five different cities. But I have to tip my hat at his latest adventure. World Peace has been in L.A. since 2009 and now it appears he’s going a little Hollywood.

Metta had a guest stint on the Nickelodeon TV show Yo Gabba Gabba where he competed in the Yo Gabba Olympics, and wouldn’t you know it he came in first place, just edging out Toodee and Mrs. Fox. He even had the opportunity to be coached up by his 8 year old daughter Diamond, who joined him on the show.

If the revamped Lakers can get Metta World Peace to play as focused and determined as he is while competing in the Yo Gabba Olympics, then Los Angeles could be in for a title run this season. I just hope he leaves the John Stockton shorts at home.
