Well it’s about time. NFL fans that were saddled with Time Warner Cable are no longer without the NFL Network. The nation’s second largest cable provider has finally reached a deal with the NFL to air both the NFL Network and the NFL Red Zone Channel.

Time Warner Cable, which was the only major cable provider that didn’t offer the NFL Network and NFL Red Zone to their customers, covers the New York City market and more importantly to me, the Kenosha, Wisconsin market.

The approximately 12 million Time Warner Cable subscribers will have the NFL Network added as part of their basic digital cable package and the Red Zone channel will be a part of a special sports package.

For those who don’t know, NFL Network airs “13 primetime regular-season games” while RedZone is a “game-day network that shows touchdowns and important plays inside the 20-yard line.”
