Description: After a recent excursion in the Himalayas for 2014’s acclaimed sequel Far Cry 4, Ubisoft is primed to drag its beloved open franchise back to the Stone Age with Far Cry Primal. While it isn’t strictly speaking Far Cry 5, the mega-publisher is promising a fully-fledged open world experience with Primal, introducing novel mechanics to the series such as the Beast Master feature, allowing players to recruit the prehistoric animals that roam this most primitive landscape. It’s back to basics, really. In ousting guns, explosives and modern vehicles for the time being, Primal is an, erm, Far Cry from the franchise’s usual set-up, and we’ll find out if it’s been a change of pace worth taking when Far Cry Primal launches on February 23, 2016.
