14yo saw Pennsylvania ex-fire chief and wife as his ‘parents.’ Then the woman told him what she wanted to do when he turned 18

The text thread between the woman and her husband revealed everything.

In a shocking case out of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, a former volunteer fire chief, Nathan Turner, and his wife, Stephanie Turner, are accused of inappropriate conduct involving a 14-year-old volunteer firefighter who once viewed the couple like parents.

According to police and court documents, the pair face a series of criminal charges, including corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent exposure, harassment, open lewdness, and criminal conspiracy.

According to Pittsburgh’s WTAE, Nathan formerly led the Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire Department in Leet Township, while his wife, Stephanie, founded the fire department’s auxiliary.

The incriminating text messages

The allegations came amid an unrelated theft investigation tied to the Sewickley Water Authority, where Nathan once worked. As part of the inquiry, investigators obtained Nathan’s phone and discovered an alarming text message thread between him and his wife discussing “illegal sexual activities” involving the teenager.

According to the complaint, Stephanie allegedly told the boy she wanted to have sex with him when he turned 18. At one point, according to the teenager, the Turners were like parental figures, until their behavior crossed a boundary, including comments on his appearance, and the sex proposal when he came of age.

Court documents show that some of the messages date back to mid-2023. Investigators say they grew increasingly graphic over time. One police report says that Turner urged his wife to “show off” for the teen, to which she allegedly replied, asking if he was “trying to get her arrested.”

Stephanie allegedly flashed the teen several times

Court documents also detail an incident at the Turners’ home in Leet Township during the summer of 2024. The teen says Stephanie exposed herself to him on more than one occasion. Texts between Nathan and Stephanie reportedly confirmed that exposure. In one message, Nathan allegedly wrote, “You literally took your pants off in front of him,” to which Stephanie replied, “Yes, I did.”

According to the complaint, those texts, combined with the boy’s own statements, prompted investigators to open a criminal probe.

The fire department released a brief statement in response to the allegations, confirming that Nathan resigned as chief in August 2025 and that Turner and his wife are no longer associated with the department. “They do not reflect the values and standards of the department,” the statement read.

The Sewickley Water Authority confirmed that Turner was also let go from his job in August 2025 for reasons related to the theft investigation, but they declined further comment. As of this report, authorities took Nathan and Stephanie into custody, releasing them on unsecured bond, awaiting further court hearings.
