Bikini barista attempted kidnapping captured on security footage in Washington State

Thank goodness she's alright!

On August 18, 2025, at Ladybug Bikini Espresso in Lakewood, Washington, a 19-year-old man attempted to abduct a bikini-clad barista through the drive-thru window. The entire episode was captured on the shop’s security cameras, providing crucial evidence for law enforcement.

In the early hours of August 18, Ezekiel Guerrero, a 19-year-old from Kent, Washington, approached the drive-thru window at Ladybug Bikini Espresso. As the barista handed him his drink, Guerrero suddenly grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her through the window.

The barista managed to resist, bracing herself against the counter and slamming the window shut as Guerrero released his grip and fled the scene. She sustained visible injuries to her wrist, bicep, and shoulder during the struggle. The identity of the bikini barista involved has not been publicly disclosed.

Guerrero admitted everything

Police identified Guerrero through the credit card receipt he left behind. During interrogation, he admitted to the assault, attributing his actions to intoxication and emotional distress following a breakup.

According to Guerrero, he acted impulsively and released the barista when she cried for help. Guerrero has pleaded not guilty to first-degree attempted kidnapping and is awaiting his next court appearance in September.

The victim expressed frustration over Guerrero’s release without bail, fearing for the safety of other women in similar establishments. She emphasized that such violent acts should not be overlooked, regardless of the perpetrator’s age or lack of prior offenses.

This incident highlights the ongoing safety concerns for women working in Washington’s popular lingerie-themed coffee stands. While these establishments are legally operating businesses, they have reported increasing harassment from predatory customers.

There have been other high-profile incidents involving bikini baristas in the state, such as a similar attempted kidnapping in Auburn, Washington, in January 2023, and the murder of a barista in 2022. The case underscores the need for heightened awareness and protective measures to ensure the safety of baristas in such environments.
