Florida firefighter and wife accused of possessing content with explicit abuse of kids and animals

A Columbia County, Florida, firefighter and his wife are in custody, accused of creating and sharing explicit sexual content involving the abuse of children and animals.

In August 2025, law enforcement agencies in Lake City, Florida, initiated their investigation into 33-year-old Jordan Hoffman, the firefighter, and his wife, 27-year-old Harliegh Hoffman, following a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Hoffman case

The tip indicated that the Hoffmans were sharing explicit content via social media platforms. Subsequent forensic analysis confirmed the involvement of both individuals in the distribution of illicit materials.

After receiving the tip, digital forensic experts analyzed data from social media platforms to trace the origin and distribution of the illicit content to the Hoffman’s devices. Law enforcement executed search warrants at the Hoffmans’ residence, and seized electronic devices and storage media for further analysis.

Experts also recovered deleted files and traced communications related to the distribution of illicit materials, and identified the Hoffmans as primary contributors to the network.

The Hoffman’s arrest

Authorities arrested Jordan on August 25, 2025, and he now faces multiple charges, including possession and distribution of illicit materials involving the sexual abuse of children and animals.

Police arrested Harliegh three days later, charged with similar offenses as her husband. Florida news outlet WCJB says material found showed Jordan engaged in sex acts with a dog. Harliegh was in the images with Jordan and the animals.

After their arrest, Jordan and Harliegh were booked into the Columbia County Detention Center on a combined total of 70 charges related to the case. As of now, there is no publicly available information regarding their pleas or upcoming court appearances. The case remains under investigation.
