Woman’s mother, who believes Chris Brown is texting her, now facing charges after violent meltdown

A woman has shared a disturbing story about her 66-year-old mother, whose behavior has become increasingly erratic over the past two years, culminating in a violent incident that has led to criminal charges.

The mother reportedly believes she is in communication with R&B star Chris Brown, a Grammy-winning singer known for hits like “Run It!” and “With You.” Brown has also been a figure of controversy in the past due to his 2009 assault conviction involving singer Rihanna and other public incidents.

The daughter detailed the saga in a Reddit post, explaining that her mother first claimed to be talking to Brown two years ago. “She said she met up with him and his manager at a hotel. It was so weird.”

When questioned, her mom got defensive, but over time, she shared that she believed Brown’s management was taking most of his money. The daughter repeatedly warned her, “DO NOT GIVE THIS SCAMMER ANYTHING.”

Despite these warnings, the mother reportedly continued to engage with the supposed celebrity. “The next year, I see her texting him on WhatsApp.” When confronted, the woman fled to her daughter’s guest room and cried for hours. Once she reemerged, she demanded her daughter never mention it again, or she would cut off contact.

The violent outburst

Then, on a recent visit, when the daughter said her mother flew in to see her, her mom displayed “extremely concerning behavior,” texting the alleged celebrity throughout the week. A confrontation turned violent when the mother allegedly slapped her daughter and threatened, “I will knock you out.” She said, “No one understands Chris Brown,” as she does, and accused her daughter of being jealous.

Police were called due to the threats, which left the daughter fearing for her safety. The mother has since returned to her home state but is scheduled to appear in court in her daughter’s state.

In addition to the violent behavior, the daughter described worrying financial issues. Her mother’s Social Security payments have stopped, she reportedly opened an LLC using her sister’s address, and her Cash App account was blocked. “She kept asking my brother and I for money for weeks.
