4 Things You Need To Know About The 100 Before You Watch Season 2

The 100 may have been the last series that The CW rolled out this past Spring, but that doesn't mean it finished short by any means. The show quickly became 'Must See TV,' earning itself a solid following and a quick renewal. But, with only 13-episodes making up its first season, the writers moved hastily through the central story arc, covering a lot of ground between beginning and end.

Who Hooked Up With Whom?

Even though that may sound trivial, the way the 100 relate to each other is very much based on who is involved with whom. Originally, Clarke comes off as practical, but slightly standoffish. Viewers very quickly become aware of her former relationship with Wells (Eli Goree), who is also a member of the 100 (err, was a member). This tension pushes her toward Finn (Thomas McDonell), who we later find out is in a relationship with Raven (Lindsey Morgan).

Raven joins the 100 on Earth in “Twilight’s Last Gleaming,” which complicates things between Clarke and Finn, who never thought he’d see his long-time girlfriend again. Her arrival drives a wedge between the newly coupled pair, who quickly pretended nothing happened between them. This separation lends itself to create the right circumstances for Clarke and Bellamy to become closer, and eventually develop a meaningful relationship. Which also helps create a solidarity within the leadership of the overall group.

But, let’s not forget that The 100 is a teen drama, so it’s never that easy. Despite Finn and Raven’s history, after Finn gets over the shock of being reunited with his former-flame, he makes it clear that he only has feelings for Clarke. This puts Clarke in the middle of an extraordinary love triangle (or square, as Raven revenge hooked up with Bellamy), which is sure to be a highlight of the upcoming season.

While all of this is going down, Octavia gets cozy with Lincoln, which in turn saves her from being captured by the mysterious mountain men, who are only of any number of groups remaining on Earth.
