Last week, Marvel and ABC released a synopsis for the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s fourth season, but now we have a far more specific breakdown for the first instalment back – which we now know will be titled “Broken Promises” – that gives us a much better idea of what we can expect. In addition, six new promotional stills have been released that feature some of the key characters from the episode.
We already know that Doctor Radcliffe’s beautiful, but highly dangerous android Aida is being set up as the new big bad, and the synopsis below reveals that she’s obviously on a mission to become an even more powerful threat to the team by seeking out the Darkhold book that Eli Morrow became so obsessed with. Plus, it sounds like Coulson might finally be ready to take a step towards a romantic relationship with May, completely oblivious to the fact that she’s actually an LMD.

“Broken Promises” – Though Coulson and May are growing closer, Coulson remains unaware of the dark secret May is hiding beneath the surface. Meanwhile, Aida is unrelenting in her search for the Darkhold, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
