Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for the second half of its fourth season in just over a week, and to mark the occasion, ABC has released a new promotional poster featuring a character who’s set to become the main focus of the new LMD story arc now that Ghost Rider is out of the picture: Agent Melinda May (Ming Na-Wen).

The poster comes with the tagline “Strange Tales,” and you’ll also notice the number 135 down in the bottom right. The reason for this is that Strange Tales issue #135 features a story in which Nick Fury is mysteriously cloned upon paying a visit to the Pentagon, and the resulting doppelganger is in fact the very first LMD (or “Life Model Decoy”) to appear in the pages of a Marvel comic book.

On the show, or course, it’s May who’s been cloned, and her LMD is currently getting closer and closer to Phil Coulson, who’s seemingly completely unaware that she’s actually an android. What the ultimate goal with this ruse is remains a mystery, but with the megalomaniacal Aida pulling the strings, it can’t be anything good for the team.

Check out the poster below and be sure to tune into ABC on January 10th for what will no doubt be an eventful midseason premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
