In the trailer, every single curious eye can finally catch the former governor of California making his television debut in the perfect blockbuster espionage adventure. With numerous escapades and an incredibly visually appealing aesthetic, reminiscent of Schwarzenegger’s spy dramedy film True Lies, FUBAR will undoubtedly fill every home screen with humorous one-liners and an arsenal of weapons. From the trailer alone, FUBAR appears to be anything but a dull watch.

Starring The Terminator actor as Luke Brunner, a CIA operative on the verge of retirement, FUBAR will also see Top Gun: Maverick star Monica Barbaro as his daughter — who is also a CIA operative — albeit unbeknownst to one another within their own company. Aside from its main actors, FUBAR will also feature several other familiar faces, including Fortune Feimster, Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Barbara Eve Harris, and Gabriel Luna.

Schwarzenegger’s influences are also not going to waste among fans of his lengthy repertoire in Hollywood. The actor’s love for action and memorable one-liners jump out of the screen and it is certainly not by chance. Aside from being its leading force, the series is also produced by Schwarzenegger himself, alongside creator and showrunner Nick Santora, known for his work in The Sopranos and Prison Break.

Sure to become an instant success as one of the upcoming buzziest shows on Netflix, FUBAR is unlikely to have a shortage of hype, considering the highly awaited return of Schwarzenegger.

FUBAR will reach Netflix on May 25.
