Arrow Casts Liam Hall As Deathstroke’s Son

I think it’s safe to say that I wasn’t the only fan of Arrow who was extremely happy to see Manu Bennett return as Slade Wilson in season 5’s finale. I think it’s safe to say that I wasn’t the only fan of Arrow who was extremely happy to see Manu Bennett return as Slade Wilson in season 5’s finale. Having capably played the mercenary as both ally and nemesis to Oliver Queen throughout the show’s first two seasons, he’s undoubtedly been one of the more memorable actors to have come through the door.

That being said, it’s doubly exciting to hear that Deathstroke will be a recurring character in season 6, with a two-part arc set to be devoted to him. And with flashbacks reportedly being said to be key to that thread, it stands to reason that we may very well gain some insight into Slade’s family.

As you may recall, Oliver promised to help Wilson find his son in the concluding episode of season 5, something that we fully expect to pay off in the coming year. Now, according to Entertainment Weekly, Liam Hall has been cast as Joe Wilson, who “has followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the secret Australian military agency, A.S.I.S. After years of brutal combat, Joe now finds himself in a remote Kasnian prison under the alias, Kane Wolfman, fighting for his life.”

Not surprisingly, he’ll be popping up in the two-episode arc we mentioned earlier that is apparently filming as we speak. Whether or not Joe will become a full-blown Jericho as he did in the comics remains to be seen, but it’d sure be cool if that came to fruition.

Arrow returns for its sixth season on Thursday, October 12 on The CW.
