New Arrow Synopsis Hints At Oliver Escaping Prison

This fall, it seems like The CW really has prison break fever. I mean, not only did Archie Andrews escape from a juvenile detention center during last night's stellar episode of Riverdale, but it also appears as though Arrow's Oliver Queen will say "peace out" and liberate himself from Supermax lockup in less than two weeks from now.

The reason I’m saying this is because the previously teased “The Slabside Redemption” is creeping up on us rather quickly, and you probably don’t need me to tell you how revealing that episode title is. And if that weren’t enough, this freshly released synopsis will do nothing but increase anticipation levels:

JAMES BAMFORD DIRECTS AN EPIC EPISODE — Oliver (Stephen Amell) makes a choice that will affect his entire life, as well as the lives of everyone he cares about. James Bamford directed the episode written by Jill Blankenship & Rebecca Bellotto (#707).

As you can see, the network kept the description for this one pretty vague – and for good reason. Though we’re all capable of reading in between the lines, the Powers That Be likely don’t want to divulge too much about what’ll go down.

My best guess is that all options within the law will be exhausted next week during “Due Process,” thereby forcing Ollie to take desperate measures to reunite himself with his family before Ricardo Diaz can do any serious damage. Don’t forget, he passed up a perfectly good opportunity to escape with Talia al Ghul in “The Demon,” so odds are something significant will motivate him before long.

If one thing’s for sure, though, it’s that the episode in question will be action-packed to the fullest. With longtime stunt coordinator James Bamford being confirmed to direct, you just know Oliver will be kicking some serious ass.

Arrow airs on Monday nights on The CW, with “The Slabside Redemption” being slated to debut on November 26th.
