The season four premiere of Arrow was not only one of the best episodes to date, but also the highest rated premiere since the first. The show appears to have really turned a corner after a disappointing third season then, and one of the highlights of “Green Arrow” was undoubtedly Neal McDonough’s take on the villainous Damien Darhk.

While he’s obviously going to have a major role in season four, it’s now been revealed by McDonough that Darhk will be showing up throughout the rest of this corner of the DC Universe over the next few months, too:

“You go back to the League — I did an episode of Legends last week — and I look exactly the same in 1975 but you see he’s not as confident and doesn’t have such an agenda forty years ago as he does now. So it’s fun to play the different times, you know? Going back in time with Legends, and The Flash, with The Flash, I’m just this crazy, fun, enjoy everything while I kill everybody type of character. It’s just nuts.”

The Arrow star is probably going to get into a lot of trouble for that, especially as he’s confirmed not only that Darhk will appear in The Flash, but that one of Legends of Tomorrow‘s episodes is going to revolve around the League of Assassins way back in 1975. That should make for a very interesting instalment of the spinoff though, especially given White Canary’s involvement with them in the present day.

Interestingly, McDonough went on to indicate that his character will share some history with Legends of Tomorrow big bad Vandal Savage:

“I’m enjoying the power that I have because it’s my time. It’s not Savage’s time, it’s not Ra’s al Ghul’s time; it’s Damien Darhk’s time.”

Seeing how Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow are going to intersect promises to be really exciting, especially as some of the highlights of the previous seasons of the former two was seeing various types of crossovers between the worlds of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen. For now at least, we know for sure that one thing which is going to link them is Damien Darhk.
