Arrow’s 150th Episode Will Introduce A Major Character

When it was originally announced that Arrow‘s 150th episode was titled “Emerald Archer,” I’d assumed that it would shed more light on Oliver’s estranged sister who’s become a vigilante in her own right. Fortunately, not much time was wasted in fleshing out her character, as the midseason premiere was re-titled “My Name is Emiko Queen” at the eleventh hour. Needless to say, the content reflected that.

Funny enough, “Emerald Archer” will instead air as a faux documentary focused squarely on Oliver, thereby allowing for us to see him through the eyes of those inhabiting this fictional universe. Not only that, but it’ll be narrated by none other than Kelsey Grammer! I bet you didn’t see that coming.

Obviously, some surprises are being saved for showtime – including that of a major character’s debut. Here’s what executive producer and showrunner Beth Schwartz told TV Line said when asked if we’ll meet any new faces during the milestone:

Yes. And you will meet them at the end of [Episode] 12, our 150th episode (airing Feb. 4).”

Right now, it’s anybody’s guess as to whom this may be. Really, it could be either friend or foe, so we’ll just have to tune in to find out. Part of me thinks it could be the mysterious Dante who’s been teased as of late, but he may be saved for down the line.
