Arrowverse Crossover Set Photos See Green Arrow Battle With Evil Earth-X Doppelganger

This year's Arrowverse crossover will be the biggest one yet. Under the umbrella title of "Crisis on Earth-X," the heroes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will unite to take on their evil Nazi doppelgangers from another universe. We'd previously seen the villains depicted in illustrated form in the mock comic book cover poster for the crossover, but now, we have some new set pics that give us our first look at the inhabitants of Earth-X in the flesh.

This year’s Arrowverse crossover will be the biggest one yet. The bulk of the shots focus on a battle between Oliver Queen’s Green Arrow and his villainous alter ego on top of a van. Evil Arrow (the character’s actual name is currently unknown) wears a costume largely similar to Oliver’s, except that it’s black with red lining. He also wears a full face mask with red lenses. Obviously, this is so that the face of the stunt double can be covered up.

A snap from further away shows the Flash fighting with Earth-X’s Blitzen (yes, like the reindeer). As you can see, the character’s yellow outfit is highly reminiscent of Barry Allen’s nemesis the Reverse-Flash. Another pic, meanwhile, has Melissa Benoist – or possibly her stunt double – in costume as Overgirl, Supergirl’s Earth-X counterpart. Like Evil Arrow, Overgirl’s costume has a black and red color scheme and a full face mask.

Of course, the Arrowverse crossover isn’t the only place we’ll get to know the Earth-X villains. Upcoming animated webseries Freedom Fighters: The Ray will see the titular superhero team rise up against the enforcers of Earth-X’s totalitarian regime. Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist are set to reprise their roles on the show and speaking of The Ray, he’ll appear as well, as played by Quantico‘s Russell Tovey.

The Arrowverse crossover is set to air on The CW on the week beginning November 27th. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the usual place!
