Entertainment Weekly has released a new still from the upcoming Starz TV series, Ash Vs. Evil Dead, and this time we get our first glimpse of the mysterious character played by one-time Xena Warrior Princess, Lucy Lawless.

Apparently, this slightly disturbed looking lady is named Ruby, and by the sounds of things she’ll be giving Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his new pals just as much trouble as any Deadites that they might happen to encounter.

According to EW, Ruby is on a similar quest to Ash. The only problem is, she thinks he’s the one responsible for releasing the new wave of evil onto the world – and based on what we’ve heard from Campbell previously, she might just be right:

“She’s a bad bitch and she’s stalking Ash Williams,” Lawless said. “She’s got a big chip on her shoulder and a hot obsession.”

The recent Evil Dead reboot was… okay, but most fans felt it wasn’t a patch on the original films. Can this new TV show restore some faith in the legions of Dead-heads out there? We’ll find out when Ash vs. Evil Dead premieres on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
