In honor of Halloween, Starz has today unleashed the groovy, decidedly NSFW first teaser for Ash Vs. Evil Dead, which sadly won’t return until February of next year – a first for the horror sequel series, given previous instalments have dropped in the fall. The good news is that Ash Williams (Campbell) hasn’t lost his knack for slaying Deadites in the most gruesome ways imaginable, and above you’ll see our zombie-killing hero reunite with his long-lost daughter.

What follows is a gory, blood-drenched descent into madness, and while ratings slumped mid-way through season 2, all signs point to Ash Vs. Evil Dead firing on all cylinders in time for 2018. Behind the scenes, Sam Raimi still holds an executive producer credit on the horror-themed spinoff, though Starz’s series has now been placed in the hands of showrunner Craig DiGregorio.

Also starring Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Michelle Hurd and Lucy Lawless, the official synopsis is as follows:

The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long lost daughter who’s been entrusted in his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. But evil will learn to never get in between a papa bear and his cub.

Season 3 of Ash vs Evil Dead will be summoned onto the small screen on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 9pm ET/PT. Those who prefer to get their Deadite action on the go can also stream and/or download each episode via the official Starz app – just don’t pursue any illegal downloads, otherwise you risk getting on Ash’s wrong side. And nobody wants that.
