Bad News: Dane Cook Is Getting A Sitcom

Granted, some of Cook's material is funny, but most of it is way too raunchy to translate to a network sitcom, and I really don't think he's going to fit in with the rest of NBC's comedy lineup (once Whitney gets cancelled, that is).

Inexplicably successful comedian (and alleged joke thief) Dane Cook signed a deal with NBC to produce and star in his own sitcom. According to Screen Rant, no further details have been released, but a fall 2012 air date is expected.

Granted, some of Cook’s material is funny, but most of it is way too raunchy to translate to a network sitcom, and I really don’t think he’s  going to fit in with the rest of NBC’s comedy lineup (once Whitney gets cancelled, that is). I expect this show to sink faster than $#*! My Dad Says.

The day Dane Cook has a successful TV show is the day I officially lose faith in humanity, but what do you guys think? Will you watch the show?
