Behold The Royal Wedding In These New Stills From Game Of Thrones

This past Sunday saw the return of what can easily be called one of the greatest shows on television, Game of Thrones. In the season premiere, the series continued its streak of excellence by getting us reacquainted with nearly every character and even introduced us to a new face or two, including Prince Oberyn Martell (The Red Viper) and the new Daario Naharis. We even got a taste of the badass that little Arya Stark is becoming as she continues her travels with The Hound.

Today, we bring you a preview of what’s to come with a few stills and a brief promo for the next episode. The images are mainly of the Royal Wedding, which is sure to be filled with all manners of pomp and excessiveness, but rest assured, this is one wedding that will be remembered by all who witness it. The other two stills simply include a glimpse of Stannis and his crew and another of Ygritte.

The promo, on the other hand, gives us a better idea of what we’ll be seeing. Aside from the Royal Wedding, we’ll get to find out what Bran and his group have been up to as they continue to make their way north of The Wall, in addition to Ser Jaime trying to become accustomed to making his left hand his new sword hand.

As we saw in the season premiere last week, there has already been a notable change from the book, that being that the fight in the inn has been bumped up far earlier than it’s supposed to take place, so it will be particularly interesting to see how this change will effect what’s to come. That’s much further down the road though. For now, expect some important things to happen very soon as we head deeper into what will no doubt be quite a memorable season.

The next episode of Game of Thrones (“The Lion and the Rose”) airs on Sunday at 9pm on HBO.

Check out the images and promo below and let us know what you’re looking forward to in the coming season.
