Black Suit Superman Dominates In Elseworlds Night 3 Promo

Though we still have one more chapter to go in what's proving to be one hell of a memorable crossover event, tonight's installment of "Elseworlds" could very well go down as the most unforgettable segment. Granted, it was cool to see the heroes of the Arrowverse doing their thing once again, but it's Ruby Rose's Batwoman who made the lasting impression.

In short, Gotham City’s new protector showed up in style – and I’m already psyched for her to get her own series. I mean, not only did Rose pull off the character as I’d imagine her to be in live action – and, apparently, a lot of people are in agreement – but she brought more Easter eggs than you could shake an issue of Detective Comics at along for the ride.

From the look of it, we’ve seen the last of Batwoman for 2018, but that doesn’t mean the fun is over. After all, John Deegan rewrote reality yet again, this time making Barry Allen and Oliver Queen outlaws dubbed “the Trigger Twins.” And on top of that, black suit Superman will be the next thorn in their side, as the trailer found at the top of this article illustrates.

After taking in the promo a few times now, my best guess is that this darker Man of Steel probably isn’t Superman Prime as previously theorized and is, in fact, John Deegan. Really, review his dialogue and tell me the warped wonder isn’t the troubled doctor from Arkham Asylum. I may be wrong, I admit, but there’s a strong feeling in my gut saying I’m not.

Elseworlds” wraps up tomorrow night on Supergirl.
